What We Don't Buy
Thank you for considering Paul Solarski Rare Records. We hope the information on this page is useful to you. If you have any questions, please contact us!
The 78 RPM records we are looking for are those that are scarce, obscure, and sought-after. It is important to note that just because 78’s are “old” doesn’t make them valuable. In fact, most 78’s encountered have little or no value.
There are many millions of 78’s still in existence and most of the inquiries we receive which we must say “No” to concern the typical household accumulation of mass-produced records that were played at home and on the radio.
We do not buy any of
these 78 RPM album sets:
- Big Band, Easy Listening, Pop, Classical, Opera, etc.
- No Soundtracks, Broadway Show Tunes, Original Cast
- No Comedy, Children’s, Travel, Box Sets such as Reader’s Digest or Time-Life, Foreign language, or Exercise
- No Country, Gospel, Easy Listening, Big Band, Dixieland, Samplers with different artists, Greatest Hits
We do not buy any 70’s,
80’s and 90’s Rock, Pop
and Soul artists
No John Denver, Elton John, Jackson Brown, Madonna, Alabama, Boston, Air Supply, Michael Jackson, Olivia Newton John, etc, etc.
For your convenience, we have complied the following LISTS OF ARTISTS THAT WE DO NOT BUY.
Exception 1: We don’t buy the artists below unless they are part of a collection or accumulation that includes some of the rare records described elsewhere on this site.
Exception 2: We buy records from the artists below on labels other than those shown in parentheses. For example, with Louis Armstrong, we do buy his records on the OKeh and Columbia(Black) labels, or with Jimmie Davis, we do buy his records on the Bluebird and Victor labels.
